Summer
of Psalms
Shepherd's sermon series, "Permission to be the Real You-Summer
of Psalms," begins June 1 and continues throughout the summer.
The Psalms show the real emotions and feelings people have, whether
it be sadness, frustration or anger, or joy, thanksgiving and praise.
The emotions expressed by the writers are the same real and personal
emotions we all experience today.
This series, "Permission to be the Real You," will demonstrate
how the Psalms are relevant and how they can help us honestly share
our emotions with God. He wants each person to be authentic with
Him-and with each other.
Each Sunday throughout the summer there will be children's sermons
at 9:30 and 11 a.m. and service opportunities for the kids. Study
resources are available for small groups and individuals. See page
five and six for details.
Please invite someone to worship with you this summer! May each
person be authentic as we worship together, and as we live day by
day in a growing faith in Jesus.
